 | | NewWorkSpaces offers four different spaces for doing the work of reflective communities. The first, Discover, offers processes and tools for making our tacit knowledge what we know and know how to do that is as yet unexpressed more explicit. The second space, Invent, takes that explicit knowledge and organizes it into a more complete and comprehensive system of knowledge. The third space, Experiment, helps community members take their new system of knowledge to practice, sharing what they are learning with the community. Finally, in the Influence space, communities decide if and how they want to more broadly distribute their learnings, in order to influence the practices of others. Each space requires community members to frame or plan how they will go about doing their work together. Reflections 1. What is your communitys domain or field of inquiry? 2. What are your communitys most important triggering questions? 3. What are your purposes and intentions for doing this work? 4. How will you know that your community has accomplished what it set out to do? Actions In conversation, name the domain or field of inquiry that is the focus of your communitys explorations. If a name doesnt currently exist for the field, feel free to make one up. Then, draft and document a set of 3-7 questions that will be the focus of your work and exploration. Finally, develop your purpose, establish your intentions, and set out some indicators that will help you to track how your communitys work is going. The Tools and Resources provided here offer some guidance for completing this activity. Tools and Resources Domains & Triggering Questions Creating a Knowledge Vision Setting Community Purpose | |
