 | | | | | | If you have traversed all the way through the four learning spaces of NewWorkSpaces, it is time to make a transition in your communitys work. It may be that your intentions are to continue your journey of creating and sharing new knowledge together, or it may be time for honorable closure. In any case, it is an opportunity to reflect on your experiences together, and for each member to reflect on their own increased capacity as reflective practitioners. It is a time to revisit your communitys purposes and intentions as they have evolved over time, and to harvest your own learnings about creating and sharing new knowledge in community. It is a time to look both within and without within to become more aware of how you have learned and changed, and without in order to reach out to others who would benefit from your learning and experience. Positive change comes from connection, community and diversity, as each of us reaches out to another across boundaries of difference and distance.. Reflections 1. What purposes and intentions do your community members now share? 2. If your purpose includes disbanding as a community, how will you choose to celebrate and close, honoring your experiences and contributions? 3. What learning and increased capacities have you gained through your experiences, both personally and collectively? 4. What further contribution to creating positive social change could you make by reaching out to others at this time? Actions As individuals, take the time to reflect on your experiences with this reflective community of practioners. Then, in conversation, reflect on the questions offered here and others that are meaningful to your community now. Be sure to use this transition point to celebrate your accomplishments, to offer appreciation for the contributions of all members, and to make, if you choose, honorable closures. If your communitys learning journey is to continue, visit the The Commons to reformulate your purpose, intentions, field of inquiry, triggering questions, and other issues that will help you continue on your way.
